Indian Punjabi - Reserva de mesa

I dined here on Sunday, October 8, 2023. We ordered the menu del Dia #4 which was vegetable curry served with rice, naan and a beverage. Apparently this special is only available on weekdays, but the proprietor was so nice that he gave it to us anyway. We also ordered a serving of Chana (chickpea) masala and an order of samosas, which could be why we got to order the menu del Dia on a Sunday. I was assured that the curry and masala were vegan but if you eat here, make sure that you ask for the naan to not be buttered. Or forget the naan altogether because it might have milk in it. I forgot to ask about that The food is prepared to order so you can specify how spicy and hot you want your meal...

(Atualização após a nossa segunda visita: fomos lá novamente e pedimos todos os pães do cardápio para levar para experimentar a textura diferente. Porém, era tudo apenas pão pita que você pode comprar em uma sacola no supermercado e eles apenas coloquei sabores diferentes por cima (alho, queijo, açúcar com coco e reaqueçai na panela. O pão não é artesanal e não tem a textura amanteigada multi-escamosa. Uma decepção. Acho que uma visita é boa o suficiente, mas não bom o suficiente para visitas repetidas. Pedimos nan de queijo e alho, e pão indiano com recheio doce de amêndoa e especiarias, tikki masala de cordeiro, muito bom!

We were looking for something different for dinner after 2 weeks of dining out in Portugal so opted for Indian food. The place is small and welcoming as was the staff who made some recommendations. The food was good but the problem was it came out of the kitchen very, very individually and the last entree dish came when all the others had finished. That said, the food was good, satisfying, plentiful, and inexpensive! I realize the problem could mean each dish is prepared separately but this was a bit too out of the expected.

I would have given 5 stars if allowed. We had the Chana Masala and Tarka Daal with roti and plain rice. Our server understood what vegan is and confirmed the main dishes we ordered were vegan. He did the roti without butter. Nice restaurant and friendly server. Great English which was much appreciated considering our limited Portuguese. Reserva una mesa ahora
