I very seldom write reviews, so when I do, it's because I feel compelled to share - either my awe or my disappointment. I really wanted to like this place and I gave them the benefit of the doubt for the uninspiring interior - you cannot judge a book by its cover - it's the food that matters, I convinced my son. We even forgave them, for the fact that they had no Kingfisher beer - in fact no beer at all (except one single Corona); and for the red wine which was 'fresh' from the fridge! This is the second time we had take out from this lovely Indian restaurant in a small plaza in Runaway bay, Gold Coast, last time three months back. Both times I had prawn masala which is prawn sauteed with onion, capsicum and tomatoes in a mild curry sauce and naan bread. It was fingerlicking good. My brother in law had the medium hot tandoori prawns and he was very happy with its spiciness. We would have no reserve to recommend this restaurant to anybody in the area who craves for Indian cuisine. The food was excellent especially for vegetarians though the spread is very limited. Courteous service even though we were late for our lunch and the restaurant was about to be closed.Over all good experience but it is not a mid range restaurant and all the more it is located in CBD.
Love indian whisper. From their Palau rice, to this curries which are so amazing and flavoursome! My fave is buttered chicken and their nann bread - Ohh yum! This has been a family favourite for years! Always consistent. Keep it up and highly recommend this for dinner

My talented wife amoungst other things was a restaurant critic in the past. I know what I like and my wife knows how to compare. I have to record we have stumbled onto an unknown gem at Indian Whisper at Runaway Bay. It is absolutely superb.
Best Indian we have had. Fresh pappadums, a fusion inspired entree, cold kingfisher beer, fluffy rice and the tastiest lamb and chicken dishes we have had for a long time. Service was exceptional. Wouldnt go anywhere else.
Service was absolutely amazing and so was the food! The food came out very promptly and the suggestions that the wait made were perfect. Will definitely be frequenting this place!
Our favourite Indian Restaurant: if you like Indian food, do yourself a favour and try it out. Our favourite is the Lamb Nawabi, but there are many more. Reasonably priced too.

Ordered takeaway last night. It was the Best. Dont know if they have changed chiefs, but the food was so much better. Would recommend to everybody now.
ALWAYS delicious food. Especially love the Lamb Nawabi however have tried heaps over the past decade plus.
