This was the worst meal I have eaten in France and I have been visiting the country for 40 years. The meal was tasteless (apart from salt), let alone lacking any sort of spice flavour (as distinct from heat). The owner’s defence to my saying the potatoes were from a tin was to say no, they were from a packet. His response to my saying the food was tasteless and nothing like Indian food was to say that is how the French like it. I’ve eaten at many Indian restaurants in France and enjoyed a variety of flavours and dishes. Of course they are different to the curries one gets in the UK, and different to proper Indian curries. This was quite possibly the worst Indian meal I have ever eaten. Tinned spinach and tinned potatoes. Kingfisher beer at 6 euros for a small bottle, and food that had no spice, only sugar. We paid 140 Euro for a main course and a beer each for four. Total rip off and food disgusting. There’s a Thai street food restaurant along the road, I wish we’d gone there instead.
