I recently was married and held the wedding reception at Ingrebourne Golf and Country Club. After COVID cancelling the two pre-arranged weddings and venue problems we were lucky to book the above. The venue can only be described as first class set in beautiful surroundings. Although I arranged most of my wedding decor entertainment and all the extras I had the venues wedding planner to assist and advise. This is where I feel I was let down on several points. Friends had arranged a Christmas celebration.We were asked to arrive at 1900hrs.which we did and were given a glass of champagne? or orange juice.We went to our table and waited for our starter.While we waited we went to the bar for drinks for our party 20 minutes later we got our drinks.We sat and waited until 2100 hrs to receive the starter.At no time did any staff attempt to remove the any used glasses or used plates.Finally at 2200 hrs the main courses were delivered.It was not worth the wait.I had ordered the roast turkey.What did I get processed turkey sliced to appear real turkey.The vegetables were presented in a dish swimming in water the vegetables looked like they were from the re...
I originally joined this gym in January 2018. In April 2020 due to Covid 19 I decided to cancel my membership. I was no longer in a contract and the gym was closed for the foreseeable future so through their contact page on the website I messaged cancelling my membership. I did not receive anything from them, no acknowledgement. Early July after not hearing and the golf re-opening I obtained an e-mail address and confirmed this. They denied all knowledge of this contact and even went so far as deny having the contacts page on their website. The venue itself is beautiful, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to make a booking. Firstly the price doubled from £500 last year, to £1000 this year. Under the circumstances with Covid this wasn’t a surprise, however it’s a very steep increase. Our main complaint is about the buffet. We were made to order for a higher number of heads, than we wanted to place the order for. We would have saved hundreds of pounds, if we hadn’t been forced to order so much food. We were given times of when the buffet would be available, and these were not met. I had my wedding reception at ingrebourne links in 2029 and have to say they were perfect. Every second was dealt with to perfection. A guest since booking the meal at the wedding became a vegetarian so meal had to be changed on the day. Not a single problem. They even made a dish not on their menu for me. They are incredible. Vicky and Rosie were incredible. Went back in Dec 21 for an Xmas meal. Wow. They did not disappoint. Food yet again was amazing. I could have easily had it 3-4 more times. The food. We booked the smaller of the two first floor function rooms for a lunch-time family and friends get-together to celebrate our recent wedding. The room itself is spacious and stunning, with floor to ceiling windows on two sides that look over the golf course. The service was excellent and the three course meal we opted for was delicious. Vicky and her staff are friendly, efficient and so accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble on the day. Big thanks to everyone at Ingrebourne. Would highly recommend.
I'm a member here and I organised a society day for 16 people. The staff were really helpful and welcoming. The service and food was very good. But you come here for the golf and in my opinion this is the best course in Essex. Yes, better than Thorndon and Orsett. The course is long, but with a variety of tee options, it's playable for all. And always on great condition. I'd highly recomend this course and club.
Evening Christmas do Food was ok music didn’t come on till 9.40 no other music while you were sitting there just this constant boom boom a bit weird Older man doing disco but I think he thought he was in a London nightclub choice of music terrible had to get your own coffee from an urn which was warm cost £31 I won’t be returning not very festive at all
