Popped in for a drink and something to eat… Hmmm… Only gluten free food on the menu was belly pork bites (too fatty for me) Asked if there was anything else.. the staff looked at each other and one said “we could “probably” do fish...and chips! Probably?? I went for a bowl of chips and the rest of the party went for cheese and onion baguettes! The chips were in a bowl the size of a sugar bowl! The baguettes were sour dough so you expect them to be a bit more expensive but £7 for a “tiny” baguette the size of a hot dog roll with a tiny bit of grated cheese and onion in was ridiculous Didn’t take a photo of the chips, but then we didn’t have a macro lens with us! The view was absolutely stunn...
We turned up here very late at night as we had been let down badly with the original property in Looe that we had booked. We needed not to worry as Stacey and the gang made us so welcome on arrival and were mortified when...we explained the situation we had been put in. We had purchased items for the fridge for our original property but Stacey said no problem we will put them in ours for you which was really kind. Everyone was so friendly and we felt really at home. The room we had which was an upgrade (thanks again Stacey) was fantastic with spectacular views and really comfy bed. Went for lunch today at the Inn on The Shore. Superb setting and view. Staff were lovely....quite a long wait for food and they forgot one of only 3 drinks ordered and i had to go and ask for it.Cod and chips and ham egg and chips were quite nice although chips were quite dry. I had wild mushrooms on sourdough toast with mozerrella, spinach and poached egg. I was looking forward to it, but unfortunately it was a disappointment. The mushrooms and spinach were so wet that the sourdough toast was just like mushy bread and the poached egg was overdone.....I also thought that £10.50 for one slice of bread with a mushy topping was completely overpriced....nice coffee though.
We really enjoyed our visit to this pub during our week in Downderry. The view from the lookout is fantastic, the staff are friendly, and dogs are warmly welcomed. The menu has greatly improved in quality since our last visit in 2020.

Excellent pub with delicious food. The room was decent, but we did experience some noise from the fan during the night. Other than that, everything was fantastic. The views were stunning, and we will definitely be returning.
only past and collapsed. beautiful location. I had a start. really nice. bark meat, was good. I am frustrated with chefs who do everything right and serve frozen bratkartoffels. would have been cracking.
Happened upon this pub walking the coastal path, good pub food with a stunning sea view. Good friendly service. Well recommended.
