This was no doubt the WORST fish and chip experience in my life. I ordered the Cod, which was the freshest looking fish in the window. More about this later… Medium chips, calamari and potato scallops. The food was incredibly greasy and heavy. I felt immediately sick afterwards. Now, back to the “Cod”. This fish is mislabelled. It is in fact, as I found out later, actually a fish called Rudderfish! Please google it. If you eat more than a very small portion you get horrid oily yellow discharge from your skin and even bad diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting! So buyers beware, this fish is very low cost and mostly discarded by other fishmongers because of these effects.
Took friends to Innes Boat shed for lunch. Ordered fish, chips and salad to sit outside. The fish was awful. It was stringy and you couldn’t cut it with their wooden knife. The calamari was too tough to eat and the garden salad for $8 was a premix very bitter and inedible. All in all a waste of money at $58 per couple. This would be the most overrated fish and chips in the Bay. Drive the distance and buy your meal from Bernie’s at Batehaven. Well worth it. I do not recommend this place at all!!!!
Best fish n chips in Batemans Bay. This our go to place for lunch or dinner when we are down south. We have also been on the lunch cruise to Nelligen which was a great experience. Captain crew terrific with our boarding and information throughout the 3 hr lunch cruise. Many thanks to all. Highly recommend.
The fried ling was delicious such light and crispy batter, and soft, fresh fish. And the chips were nicely crunchy yet soft inside. Possibly the best fried fish I have had in a long time, but the price was rather high for a small piece of fish from a take away fish&ship place.

Havent been here in 5 years, returned today for lunch and still amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was amazing, fish was so light and moist, the batter flakey and the chips where the best we have had in a while. Dont change anything guys doing a fantastic job.
We had $19 fish n chips, and calami at $1.50 per ring The Calamari was like rubber bands. The fish was so dry it was like stringy chicken and tasted like cardboard. Also overcooked, plus weird taste from the oil. Awful stuff.
Had one of the bestseafood lunches ever, cooked to perfection. Facility beautifully presented, clean and comfortable, staff delivered outstanding service. Well done to all.
It had been years since I've eaten here, and thank foodness that Yelp now exsists so i can tell other people about this good place!
