“The island” we accidentally discovered during a walk and were equally impressed by the beautiful ambience, both outside and in the tasteful interior. Careful, friendly service of the boss personally and the food was sensational. We had duck breast on sweet potato puree with sweet mushrooms and hips from the pasture lamb with pea puree, vegetable variation, crispy nuts and a delicious sauce. We were once again on the island to feed with our guests. The service was very nice and the exact control of the coronary recipes praiseworthy.The food, from the triggered lamb to the deer's back,was delicious, the appetizers (variations and Tatar).The same also applies to the delicious dessert. The selected wines (one bottle of white and red from Austria) are pleasantly suitable. Unfortunately there was still no greeting from the kitchen. Only manko: it wasn't really warm. However, this may be due to the size of the room as well as to the old specialist building. Conclusion: A satisfactory evening. We'll be back.
I recommend this gourmet restaurant. It is hidden on an island in the old town. Beautiful craftsmanship with a reasonable stylish establishment for well-being. The menu was very good and balanced. As regards gluten intolerance, the kitchen was well migrated. The food was very tasteful. The young servicewoman responsible for us was a perfectly attentive advisor to us. The price-performance ratio for such a good gourmet restaurant is completely fine. We're coming back!

Everybody was telling me how unbelievably good this restaurant is and would not stop. Well, went there with a friend and we had 2 starters and 2 main courses. Mine was good but my friends shrimpd were suffocated in chilly. It was not edible. The kitchen took it back and she did not have to pay but...well, not as fantastic as I expected
This nice restaurant and small hotel has everything you expect from a perfect place: local authentic architecture, a green and qiete environment yet near to the city center, tastefully decorated interior, friendly staff and good food. Note that there now a couple of equally tastefully decorated guestrooms where you can stay.
It has tuned everything, the premises, the beautifully covered table, the friendly attentive service, and then the super menue! This has reached all the geshmack buds! Thank you.
High quality dishes with good products. Friendly services, beautiful ambience and very good value for money. Definitely the best restaurant in Stade.
