I live out of town, but spend a lot of time in Austin. This was my first time to try Interstellar. A friend placed a to-go order for four of us and picked it up, so I can't speak to the facilities or ordering process. I can say the barbecue was excellent!!! We had moist brisket, ribs, turkey, kielbasa link, and a pulled pork sandwich. Each item was moist and flavorful. I've been to many of the spots across the state recommended by Texas Monthly and Interstellar can definitely hold its own with the best of them! I particularly liked the brisket! John's team managed to put together 48 lunch plates, each featuring delectable brisket that melts in your mouth, along with a delightful mix of ribs, sausage, and chicken. The smoked scalloped potatoes are absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend trying them. We love supporting small businesses, and working with John was a true pleasure. Get the pastrami beef rib special when they have it: best beef rib in town. I prefer Interstellar's pastrami beef rib to Franklin's brisket. The peach tea glazed pork belly bites are delicious as are the smoked scalloped potatoes (smoky cheesy potato goodness). I like but don't love their regular meats but I love love their specials and think their specials are some of the best meat in town.

Pork belly is absolutely outstanding! The turkey and brisket are slightly better than average, and the ribs are decent. However, the pork belly is a standout—its flavor is incredible, and it has the perfect texture that makes it easy to enjoy in just a couple of bites. Interstellar’s BBQ is phenomenal. I did a BBQ tour while in Austin and I tried several well known venues like Valentina’s, Terry Black’s and Micklewait. Interstellar’s BBQ is on par with them! I found that Interstellar’s sides were better, from the coleslaw, smoked scalloped potatoes to the pickles and pickled red onion.

A must try!! The brisket was DELICIOUS. It was moist and had great flavor. The sides were great too, and I would highly recommend the smoked scalloped potatoes. They provided great service and even gifted us a side of their pimento cheese which was awesome! We’ll be back!

Amazing BBQ! Just as good as any of those other top 50 places in Austin. When in Northwest Austin and looking for Craft BBQ look no further!! Interstellar barbecue is truly out of this world good!!

The food is AMAZING as always. And I'm pretty picky when it comes to BBQ. Only a handful of places I like when it comes to BBQ, and Interstellar is definitely one of them!

Outstanding spot from the owners of Noble Pig. Ribs and Brisket were “out of this world.” They sell out daily so get there early. Can’t wait to BYOB on the porch.
