Can?t fathom the good reviews, unless they are from people not familiar with local cuisine e. The she crab soup was fairly good, although a little too thickened with flour. The pan cooked flounder was good, but not outstanding. The pasta special wasRigatoni with shrimp and vodka sauce. The pasta wastrels inedible? very tough and chewy. This wasn?t al denote pasta, butperhaps precooked and not freshened up before serving. The shrimp were also incredibly tough and overdone, which is inexcusablein a seafood restaurant on the coast. Came in for dinner at 8:25 and was told by the teenage hostess that they close at 8:30 even though their online listing said they close at 9. I asked if we could still be seated since we were still just before 8:30. The hostess looked at her manager tosee what he?d say and he rudely signaled to her not to seat us. He didn?t come over to explain, or talk to us just flicked hiswrist to tell her to turn us away which I found quite unbecoming of someone who is supposed to be managing a nice-ishrestaurant. They should defiantly update that their online listing to the correct closing time, work on their ground of housepeople skills, and maybe get that manager an etiquette class. My family had been...

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at this restaurant. We started with raw oysters and tuna tartare, both of which were excellent. The chilled peel and eat shrimp were also delicious and well-seasoned. Our favorite oysters were the Katamari Bay and Murder Point varieties, with the Murder Point being particularly memorable. The oysters were a bit pricey at $18 for 6, but the rest of the menu was reasonably priced. We would definitely return to this restaurant in the future. Even my son, who is a chef and quite discerning, was very pleased with the dining experience.

Having tried various restaurants in Charleston throughout the week, this raw bar experience stood out as one of our favorites! The selection of food was superb, the seafood was incredibly fresh, and the service was quick and friendly. In addition, the beer, cocktail, and wine choices were excellent. The staff also took the time to educate us on the different types of oysters available. My husband and I are here from Colorado. We ate oysters on the half shell 7 nights in a row at different restaurants here on IOP and Sullivans Island. Our last night before leaving we chose our favorite! IOP Raw won! No contest! The staff wasexcellent, friendly and attentive. The Mother Shucker was amazing. The oysters were opened as we watched and were clean anddelicious! We hope to be back someday soon. Cheers

The food at this restaurant is fantastic! It is very fresh and our server, Andrew, was amazing. His recommendations were delicious. This place is much more than just a hidden gem in a shopping center next to Harris Teeter.
