Irish Rock Cafe

We took a day trip on the local Toulouse train to visit the Auch Cathedral and the Musee des Ameriques. Walking down from the Place du Cathedral to the old Halle aux Herbes, we saw this inviting restaurant. It was too early for our intended lunch of salad, fish chips with Guiness, but we found their bakery stall just opposite, “Wee Taste of Ireland.” Out of the 30 inviting baked goods, we selected a rhubarb tart, pecan roll raisin bars and these excellent treats tied us over until returning to Toulouse.

Sat outdoors which was a nice location at Les Halles. Kids meals arrived fairly early and we're good quality and portions of standard kids fare. They didn't have any child seats. The outdoor seating area, combined with that indoors consisted of a huge number of covers. It was a busy day, and so service for the adults then involved a wait of around an hour. Food was of a good quality generally.

Good for a beer and a burger. In fact probably the best burgers in Auch, plenty of choice of burgers all with a musical theme. Can get a decent pint of beer too. Can get very busy at the weekends, particularly when it's nice weather. The outdoor seats are taken very early. Not sure what is Irish about this place, they serve Guinness but that is all.

Wide menu, including amazing salads but what we really liked here was the outdoor seating area opposite the main restaurant/pub. Under a huge arch, it filled up quickly with families and couples having lunch, creating a lovely atmosphere.

This place is totally mis-sold as an Irish bar. The staff are downright rude and the draught beer is awful. The food is OK but that is the best I can say about this place.
