The hostess was absolutely lovely. She greeted us warmly and took our birthday cakes to the fridge after we mentioned it was a special occasion, which we appreciated. However, everything else fell short.
Things took a turn when our original waitress went on break and a male server took over. He brought us the check before our cakes were served—possibly due to a misunderstanding—but that was quickly sorted and not a huge issue.
When our cakes finally arrived, still boxed up, we found ourselves sitting there for a few minutes with unlit candles, and no one seemed to notice us. We asked the two people at the hostess station for a lighter, but they said they didn’t have one and turned away....
I'm not sure why the slice of Kona pie at Islands was so small this time; it used to be much larger during my previous visits. The service was somewhat inconsistent. While our food arrived hot and promptly, it took longer than expected to have our drinks refilled, clear our finished plates, and place our dessert order. That said, everything we tried from the menu tasted fantastic, and the hostess was very friendly and attentive. We also didn't have to wait at all to be seated.
The food was decent, with no major complaints. However, one negative incident stood out: our waiter removed a few plates from the table without checking if everyone had finished eating. This happened while members of a girls' soccer team were on a group lunch after a game, and as a result, some of their food was thrown away while they were in the restroom.
I ordered takeout and I am really disappointed. My burger was incorrect, and the fries were stale and cold. The patty itself was good, so I'll give it an extra star for that, but I won't be returning. It's literally double the price of the burger place next door, and they couldn't even get my order right!

Karen made our experience truly unforgettable. It had been years since our last visit to Islands, but thanks to her outstanding customer service, we’ll definitely be coming back soon.
I really enjoy Love Islands! The food is consistently delicious, and the service is always kind and professional. I also have a great time watching all the surfing videos.
Waitress was very helpful and understanding about friend's garlic allergy you can get the French fries without seasoning in case you have a garlic or similar allergy.
It's a great spot to catch up with friends after work. The only downside is that the Happy Hour menu is only available in the bar area.

Lots of loud boisterous kids. Great burgers. Not calorie friendly. Best burgers in the area.
Smaller burgers than i remember. Must be that shrinkflation.
