Tried this restaurant for the first time last night as it is about the fifth restaurant in the same location....none of which survived. I am hoping this one makes it, because it deserves to. I and my three other dinner guests were very happy with whatwe ordered. I personally had the lamb chops which were very tender, juicy and tastey. I would have liked a few moreconsidering there were only three small ones. However I would definitely order them again. The ambience was very classy and myonly real complaint was the service was a little off. My friends and I recently dined at Istanbul Grill and truly enjoyed every part of our meal. The service was impeccable—our table was always promptly cleared and spotless. Finding a quality restaurant in this area has been tough, so we often travel into the city or up the north coast. Now, we’ve finally found a fantastic local spot! My top picks were the liver, escargot, calamari, and the lamb paired with truffle mashed potatoes.
Harbor Grill just opened, decided to have dinner here. Beautiful atmosphere (compared to previous restaurant here before). We ordered a few appetizers and 2 steaks. Everything was PERFECT. Cooked just right, and we were treated with nothing but warmth since we entered the door. We live locally, and have been wishing for a place like this to open in the Hewlett area. My friends and I visited Istanbul Grill last night and absolutely loved everything about it. The service was exceptional—our plates were always cleared promptly. It’s hard to find good food around here, and we usually have to travel to the city or the North Shore, so it’s great to have a reliable local spot at last. My favorites were the liver, escargot, calamari, and lamb served with truffle mashed potatoes.
I drove all the way from southern Brooklyn based on a recommendation, and though I was hesitant to make the trip to Hewlett, Istanbul Grill was absolutely worth it—both the drive and every penny spent! The service was fantastic, the menu offered a great variety, and the food was incredibly delicious. I’ll definitely be returning very soon!
Istanbul Grill was my dining destination yesterday for the second time, and once again, the experience was fantastic! The ambiance and the food quality are exceptional.
