Ital. Spez. Pizzeria Citta Vecchia

This smallish restaurant hits the spot for a relaxed but delicious evening meal away from the crowds. Friendly, helpful staff, starched napkins, piping hot home-made lasagne, and excellent wine cheered us up in the middle of a very wet stay, and we would definitely return if in the area. We booked online in advance (and received prompt confirmation back), but that Thursday it wasn't really necessary.

We'd taken a day trip to Interlaken and had looked this place up as a possible lunch venue. Tucked in the older part of Interlaken on a cobbled square, a cosy restaurant with a good menu. We opted for beer, bruschetta a pizza and a lasagne. All very tasty and the addition of some nicely spicy chilli oil just topped off the Pizza Diavola. Good service not rushed and decent coffee to finish.

Very busy restaurant on the edge of the attractive old square. Despise how busy it was, the service was friendly and prompt. The food was very good Italian by far the best of the 3 Italian restaurants we ate in while in Interlaken. You need to book a Day or two before we saw many peoples turned away. Highly recommended.

We ate here as a family of five after making a reservation. The food was very good. The service was not good at all. It was almost as if we were an afterthought or a complete inconvenience to them. Took us two hours to eat with about three minutes of attention.

WE loved this restaurant. We went there 4 times while in Interlaken. The food is incredible. The staff is so accommodating. Greta wine selection, great outdoor dining as well. Our highest recommendation.
