Hubby and I came in for lunch for the first time in a few years today, and it was BAD y'all. The place was super dirty!!! There was a loudly sticky floor in the front entry, and there was food all over the floor in the dining room....like, rice bits of food around literally every table in view. There is some sort of white, plastic siding on all of the walls that was covered in grime; it appeared to be a combination of sauces and potentially kids wet/sticky finger smudges? BLECH. My Fiancee and I lucked out something major this Vday with the trifecta, grandparents in town to watch the gremlin, then we called Izakaya and caught them early enough to mention there's 2 seats at the bar available if we come early, followed by what would become one of the best meals I have ever had. To the owner, I would give this restaurant 3 stars. The food was good, but I am deducting 2 stars for cleanliness issues - there was food on the walls and floor, and the glassware was dirty. The place needs a thorough cleaning and is too dark inside. One star is for the lazy and annoying waitress who seemed more interested in her iPad and eating than serving us. She was unfriendly and appeared annoyed when we arrived. Despite enjoying the food, the poor service from the waitress would prevent me from returning or recommending the restaurant to others. We were lucky to even get a seat let alone get the Omakase ! If you have a chance I would very much recommend. This is the real deal! We came on Valentine's Day and there was magically two seats open at the bar. It was very busy and our meal ended up being at least 7 courses and 2 hours long. Come hungry and thirsty!
Sad to say, because back in the day this place was the best, and we were so lucky to have them! Not anymore ... horrible food, sub par service, not clean. It's as if they've given up.
The food at this restaurant is top-notch and the service is excellent. It is a family-owned business that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
From bad to worse. This place has gone downhill to the bottom of the sea. They try to get away with selling old half rotten product. Stay far away from this mirage.

The Nigiri at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic, especially the BBQ eel which is the best sushi I have ever had.
Great service, food comes fast. Nothing too crazy but the sushi is good! Pink Lady Super Cali roll were solid.
