This is a cute little Japanese Izakaya place not far from Central. The sake selection is really amazing, and the food is delicious. There were only 2 of us, so we grabbed a spot at the bar. It was kind of fun to watch the chefs in action. We had the special Toro that ended up running out while we were there, but we were lucky to have 2 pieces. We couldn't believe how fatty the tuna was, and we thought it was beef at first. So yummy! The corn was also nice, as was the chicken karaage, and the must-have wagyu cheek buns. While I admire that this restaurant goes bold on interesting flavour combinations (lots of citrusy notes in things), some of them plainly miss the mark for me. The dark and loud atmosphere makes it good for a relaxed and casual bar-type vibe, but not the best spot for a romantic date or long conversations.
