Izla Taste Of Puerto Rico

Ordered Mofongo with Bacalao (cod fish). 2 beef empanadas and chicken with Rice sweet plantains. The Bacalao, like All the other reviews was Bland and Almost non-existent. I Am Hispanic and cook myself and if I were serving my customers this dish Iwould just close up shop for fraudulent practice. I can?t believe they serve this dish at all as it does a disservice to REALPuerto Rican food. The fact that all other reviews echo the same sentiments and they still don?t bother correcting the issuetells me they do Not Care and therefore will Never receive my business The empanadas were cold reheated and poorly made! Thesweet plantains were good (can?t mess that up all you do is fry them)

DO NOT LET THE PICTURES FOOL YOU!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!!! This place was horrible! The staff was very nice but the food has no taste and for a meal that I ordered just shortly after their 12:00 pm opening time, IT TASTE AS THOUGH IT WAS WARMEDUP NOT FRESHLY PREPARED! They need to improve their customer service!!!! We also had empanadas with our meal and their beefempanadas did not taste fresh and the meat smelled unusual therefore my husband asked if he could just have chicken instead,like the other 4 empanadas we got and THEY FLAT OUT SAID ?NO. SORRY WE CANNOT TAKE IT BACK OR REPLACE THEM? with a straight facetoo!!

Hats off to chef, thumbs down to serving staff. This is my 2nd time here and same experience both times (can't stay away cause it is good food after all). Took 25m to serve our food when i chose already made food from buffet on display. Then were remindedin 5m intervals that they close in 30m. Then maybe not take 20m to serve our food? Then after 10m of serving our food, i got upto refill my soda they said they shut off the fountain 30m before closing. Hmm you'd think they would've said that in themany times they approached us knowing we bought multiple fountain drinks?

This was the worst Puerto Rican cuisine I have ever been served I ordered bacalao it literally had no taste was cold and extremely dry to the point it was breaking. IT WAS VERY BAD In addition to make it appear as though you were getting a fullserving they served the bacalao and yucca in the same to go container and put a huge amount of cold yucca at the bottom withcold dry and absolutely bland bacalao on top. I tried Izla for the first time in April. Nice little place, and the atmosphere is comfortable. Latin music playing, not too loud and not too crazy. The Ropa Vieja is to die for, along with the Spanish rice. I am a huge Puerto Rican, and Dominican food lover, and everywhere I have had the ropa Vieja tastes the same. I order take out sometimes and the food is always hot, fresh, and ready to go.

I not the type of person to do bad reviews but The food is horrible no flavor on anything I ask for a medium well skirt steak and it’s was over cooked and no seasoning the potato ball the meat was sour everything else tasted like it was preheated food the tostones were fresh. It’s no authentic puerto rican food sorry.

I recently went there to order a sandwich they gave it to me after 20 min. The restaurant was not crowded the person who took my order gave mee sandwich after me enquiring multiple time with no apology or anything. Terrible how people are so differentthese days

My people you out did yourself. Its so great to see our culture doing wonderful things with recipes. The Mofongo was outstanding, And the extras we ordered were fried cheese, rice and black beans. Cant say enough. Thank you. Reserva una mesa ahora

I order for the 1st time via door dash, I order alcapurias arroz con gandules, Penil, food had no taste. Food did not taste fresh. Food was cold, No napkins or utensils were given. Will never order from them again.

I have been meaning to try it out I should not have waited so long. Loved everything about it parking, food, people, service, price and options. Will be returning a lot more.
