Izumi Asian Bistro

Izumi is a great restaurant with fantastic options for vegan and vegetarian diners. Carmen, who may be the manager or owner, is wonderful and goes above and beyond to ensure her guests are satisfied. The first time I visited, I inquired about vegan/vegetarian choices and Carmen was delighted to share their newly created vegetarian menu. I sampled a few dishes, modified to be vegan by removing certain sauces, and they were all delicious. I especially recommend the dish wrapped in cucumber, although I can't remember the name. Honestly, the food at this restaurant is overpriced. I ordered the tofu and pepper dish and vegetable soup, which both lacked flavor and needed extra seasoning to taste good. The paprika tasted off as well. The only saving grace was the noodle soup, which was decent. However, considering the high prices, I don't think the meal was worth the $30 I spent. I would give this restaurant a 2 out of 4 rating.
