First of all, you have to like a little bit of spice to eat here. With that said, this was one of the best places I've eaten in a long time. The calamari was perfectly cooked and big pieces with french fries. The catfish and shrimp combo were also great. Only advice, they do pierce the box in order to not make the food mushy but it's better if you can eat it as quickly as possible because I got it. Steaming hot and the one box that was kept closed got a little mushy but the other one was outstanding. Not only is this a must stop in the local area, but it might be worth even driving out from Houston to eat here ?
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered a 12-piece wing meal, and while the fries were hot, the wings were ice cold. When I called to report this, the staff member said the only option was to remake my order. I'm not one to return food, but I really think they should get it right the first time, especially since it wasn't busy at 2:45 PM. I won’t be returning here again.
They're constantly out of something! No rice, no buns, missing ingredients for various dishes, and even no ice for a cup of water. We'll definitely be sticking to the one on Gilham Circle, as we've never encountered these issues there. Plus, we didn't even receive a friendly welcome.
I live in Houston. My adult son and I love this food. We get it anytime someone travels to Port Arthur. Today we bought over $100 in food. Everything was good EXCEPT THE FRENCH FRIES ?. I will still go back bc I’m hoping it was just a bad day….

The Hotel front desk clerk recommended this place. Delicious. The girls working the counter gave me suggestions to order and I was not disappointed.

This J&J Seafood and Wings is in a good location, just right off the highway.
The salt and pepper wings aren't what they used to be.
