On Saturday, August 12th my husband and I went to Jack Astors as it was one of our favourite restaurant to dine at. We were very disappointed with the service we received. My husband order a rack of ribs with fries. The fries were extremely salty to the point where we could not eat it. When we held the fries there was so much salt on our fingers from just holding two fries. We told the waitress about the fries being extremely salty as soon as we tasted it. The waitress reaction to us was “oh no” and she just walked away from us. The waitress then came back with mayonnaise and said “try this mayonnaise with it”. Usually a great place to eat but today's experience was not up to par with the usual. After 20 minutes I had to go back to the hostess to ask if someone was coming to assist us with drinks. Took us a while to get good. After getting food. I ordered wings and they were cold. Did not bother to tell them since I would have waited longer to eat. The food we did buy was delicious and great. Kudos to the kitchen!We were going to buy dessert but not worth waiting another 20 minutes for the order to come out. Also saw a table of 5 come in and walk out after waiting so long for their drinks.
My experience was so good!! Out of all locations I’ve been to, the Brampton location HAS to be my favourite. The food, the service and the vibe. Jenn served me and my girlfriends and she was completely awesome!! So friendly, so informative when answering questions, and extremely welcoming. Definitely recommend this location, and if you’re lucky to get Jenn as your waitress, she’ll make your visit 10x better. Really love the atmosphere! Food can improve, but this is just my opinion. Ordered wings and it was okay.. not a lot of sauce. My kids liked the food but we had to prompt them to eat. My husband found his burger just okay. He thinks Harvey's and Sonny's was still better.
