We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Jack 's. We were early for our reservation, but that wasn 't a problem and the hostess was very welcoming. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. My husband ordered one of the evening 's specials, ossobuco, which he said was excellent. (It 's his go to choice when dining out, so he 's had plenty of experiences to compare it to). I had the linguine with shrimp and scallops. It was a generous portion of linguine and the shrimp were nice and large. I was surprised, though, to only find 2 small scallops on the plate it was really the only negative of the evening. We shared a delicous desert of white and dark chocolate mousse. We will definitely be back!
It was like going to a 5 star authentic Italian fine dining restaurant from a big city in the little Beach town of Dana point. Food, service and ambience was excellent. We were greeted by a gentleman that sounded very NY Italian that treated us like were vip and I noticed he would eye our table and others tables making sure that we were always were taken care of. Maybe he was the owner or manager? Our server Jason was 5 star as well which you don't see often anymore which says a lot about the management and training they provide. Jason was very knowledgeable on the specials, drinks and menu, offering great suggestions. We had a great experience and we will be back many times for sure!
It was our first time at Jack's. I had driven by a couple of times and it looked great inside, so we thought we'd give it a shot. We went in Friday night at 5:00 Fortunately, there were 2 seats at the bar where we wanted to sit. The bartender was very friendly. The menu had so many delicious sounding items, we had a hard time deciding. They also have a Happy Hour menu, but we decided to order off the menu. I had the ravioli magro (spinach and ricotta). Unlike most raviolis, the sauce was underneath. they had a great brown butter and sage sauce on top. My friend had a the Pasta Salciccia. Huge portion. There are so many items that we'll definitely be back to try more!!!
The food and service were outstanding. The restaurant has recently been renovated and offers a lovely atmosphere. My only suggestion is that Jack's should think about upgrading their music system. The sound quality was a bit tinny, resembling something you'd hear in an elevator. Aside from that, everything was fantastic!

I ordered the salmon, and it was exceptional. My wife had the lobster ravioli, which was also fantastic. We shared a Jack's salad that was more than enough for two. We visit this restaurant often, and the quality of the food is consistently high. The service staff is always very friendly and accommodating.
I love this place. They seem to effortlessly make you feel comfortable. Having a drink at the bar, while waiting for our table, inevitably ends up with a fun chat with the others sitting there. The drinks are top tier and the food fresh, delicious, memorable. Thanks for a great birthday dinner!
Really stellar restaurant. Great service, food, and atmosphere. We had the angel hair pasta with clams and the pollo piccata, which exceeded expectations. Our waiter was very personable and professional. I'd eat here regularly if I lived here. So many delicious choices.
Brought our two kids (who we always take out with us), and our server made us feel unwelcome right from the start. Food was below average. Plenty of better options. Will never return and cannot recommend.

I love a restaurant where the owner greets you. The menu is great and the service is outstanding. Try the daily specials! We each had one and they were exceptional. Thanks to Jason for the great service.
Jack and the entire staff did a fantastic job managing our large group. They clearly have a focus on service and the food is fantastic. Could not recommend this place more. Top notch.
