Jack's Old Fashioned Hamburger House

Visited this establishment because of the great reviews. Don’t eat a lot of burgers but wanted something authentic. Ordered my burger which was a jr. because I just wanted to try first before indulging more. I ordered jr. with lettuce , tomato, mayonnaise, and grilled onion. “ it was kind of plain, but I’d like. Customer service great no complaints considering small area to eat. Waiting no longer than 5min for service, now all is good. Before I could get my burger to the table I notice something moving on my somewhat beautiful looking lettuce. I took a double look and sure enough it was a lettuce insect. Jack’s is a staple in Pompano Brach and having been here 50 years it should be a landmark. Their hamburgers/cheeseburgers are some of the best in town and quality is consistent with simple yet delicious taste. They truly are “Old Fashioned Hamburgers” and you can taste the freshness. Their milkshakes are also superb and no trip to Jack’s is complete without a chocolate milkshake. If you want a good, homemade, no frills, fresh cheeseburger the way it’s Supposed to be, head over to Jack’s.

Stopped in for lunch today and this place did not disappoint. Food was fast, fresh and delicious. The two young girls at the counter were very pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed the fact that you get to customize your cheeseburger as well as the condiment choices on the side, it was very clean and a pleasant atmosphere. When it got a little busy a young gentleman from the back came to help and he was also very kind! Great place and worth the price!

Burger was ok, a bit greasy, but had good flavor and is good sized. Fries could be better. Place is cool and looks like it's had a bit of updating recently but still has the old charm.

A very good burger at a good price. Fast friendly service. Juicy burger and fries were fresh and cooked perfectly.
