Waldpension Jägerstüberl

Restaurant Waldpension Jägerstüberl is family owned and run and located on the edge of Bad Griesbach in the forest. Meals are served in the restaurant or in the garden. In summer it is nice to eat or have a beer on the terrace. In addition to the restaurant, Jägerstüberl offers 18 rooms. We came to dinner on a weekday. The terrace was relatively busy, a good sign. The menu offers traditional Bavarian and German dishes. Decoration and table decoration give the restaurant a relaxed ambience. Food is delicious and service is friendly. Free parking next door. We recommend Jägerstüberl to anyone looking for good German food at a reasonable price.

Unfortunately very inflexible when it comes to changing dishes, in the end the cheese spaetzle were covered more with cream than with cheese and didn't have much taste, salt etc. was missing at the table. We waited more than 1 hour for our food. The older waitress wasn't really friendly and we didn't feel like we were treated well either. Ambience could be much better, seemed quite old-fashioned and not nice at the table (no candles, flowers, etc. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant.

We spent two very nice days in the Waldpension Jägerstüberl. Our room was spacious and had a nice balcony ideal for relaxing. The breakfast was rich and the food in the restaurant was simply excellent. The quiet location in the forest offers perfect conditions to switch off and enjoy nature. We can recommend the Waldpension Jägerstüberl to anyone who is looking for relaxation and a pleasant stay.

Very nice inn, very good food, very nice owners and service, quiet location, we like the beer garden and the peace and quiet!!!!!! Hiking trails in the surrounding area, not far from the thermal baths, shopping opportunities not far away either, ... we'll be happy to come back! It's always nice here!!... We were here on a motorcycle trip with seven guys. Friendly staff, decent rooms (we were 2 per room). Good German cuisine, decent breakfast. The garden must be very nice in summer, but too cold to stay outside when we were there. Good price to... value.

I can't rate the room, it was only there for eating. Service could be a little more flexible and quicker. Food was okay, too many dishes to choose from, desserts not so much.
