We travelled up by chair lift on a very hot day and decided to pop in for a drink. As it was such a fabulous day for weather the outside area was very busy so service was a little slow at times. We ordered our...drinks both hot and cold and enjoyed the surroundings as we waited. The first drinks came quite quickly but it took a long time to attract the waiters attention to order more. One of the managers noticed we were trying to attract the waitresses attention and came over to take our order. Good! Or so we thought! This is a lovely place, with an interesting menu, and excellent service. I enjoyed pfefferlinges (chanterelle mushrooms) on a potato rosti. The mushrooms were amazing. The rosti was a bit heavy-handed, like a giant wheel of hash-browned potatoes. It wasn't a never elegant base to...carry the earthy and simple mushrooms. Dessert was a little bit of a let down, a coconut panna cotta that was less like the Italian custard and more like some kind of opaque jello creation. I wanted chocolate chocolate anything. How can a menu not include at least one chocolate dessert? The breakfast buffet was great. It had all of the typical German offers, plus many other items to please American-style breakfast...
after a very pleasant walk we ended with lunch and it was a serious tasty bite. it cost as much as yesterday evening dinner, where we also had a bottle wine, but sitting outside and enjoying them eating with love was very specially made go for a...walk, build an appetit and they will never be disappointed by this place.
From breakfast to dinner you will be always served best within a quiet environment either outside on the terace or inside with a beautiful view into the landscape. The food is well portioned, the ingredients are always fresh, the meals are attractively arranged, and...the taste is an event.

my family and our guests enjoyed a nice afternoon snack and drinks after the gondola was raised by a river cruise. the waiting staff was professional and timely. we are Americans and had no problem to talk/order from the menu. we will definitely be back there. our next trip.
from rüdesheim over the wine mountains to this hotel/restaurant. had a nice meal and home coffee, which is one. the staff was polite and attentive. we sat on the terrace that was beautiful. no public wlan outside, but if they stay in the hotel. it was available.
Went for a long walk along the hills of the rhein valley and finally had lunch here. The food was very nice and definitely typical, good beer (as you'd expect) and generally Local and relaxed atmosphere.
We eat lunch here on our way by car to the Niederwald denkmal and it was excellent and surpricely not so expensive as we thought it would be! Recommended!

the hotel is called jagdhotel, which means that they have a lot of wild’dishes, but no. just a court, wut. service was very good and also the wine card
We had breakfast, lunch and dinner. All pretty mediocre. On the low side of good plain cooking. Don't expect more.
