How happy we were, dining twice, outdoor, in this nice restaurant with a view of the Herderkirche (there is also good indoor seating, and they have a garden in the back). Good dishes, some real traditionals, dedicated staff. We felt at ease. You can have...black pudding with sauerkraut if you wish (delicious). The second day we had Schnitzel with Pfifferlingen' cantharelles). You better keep some place for desserts like Apfelstrudel or Kaiserschmarn. .
Habíamos estado en un concierto vespertino en la Herderkirche, así que nos complació encontrar un buen restaurante en la plaza Herder con vista a la iglesia y la estatua de Herder, una figura influyente en la literatura romántica alemana temprana. Tuve un rolypoly de ternera Rinderroulade ... si quieres y mi esposa comió el filete de salmón Lachsfilet, regado con un Pils y un MüllerThurgau respectivamente. Muy bien preparado y buen servicio.
Asistió a una reunión de cumpleaños y se sentó en el Biergarten. La comida fue entregada rápidamente, grandes porciones de comida alemana, muy sabrosa. El servicio fue muy amable y servicial cuando uno de nosotros tenía solicitudes específicas. Algunas avispas fueron un fastidio, pero eso ha sido cierto ... en toda Europa este verano. Muy mala experiencia. Tuvimos que esperar una hora para cenar ayer por la noche. Cuando le preguntamos al camarero qué estaba pasando, se puso muy descortés y preguntó de una manera muy desagradable. Comimos en el jardín en la parte trasera del restaurante y teníamos a nuestro perro con nosotros. El personal fue excelente a pesar de la barrera del idioma, aunque también tienen menús en inglés. Gran servicio, comida sabrosa, porciones generosas.
We dined in the beer garden at the rear and enjoyed a fine meal. Service was attentive and friendly. In my view this place deserves a higher ranking not least because of the plum soup and walnut ice cream a truly outstanding confection!
We ate in the garden at the rear of the restaurant and had our dog with us. The staff were excellent despite the language barrier, although they do have English menus too. Great service, tasty food, generous portions.
