Thought we had found a decent curry in the area and have been here several times to eat in and take aways over the last 18 months. Ordered a take away last night (21.10.23) and they said card machine not working so we had to get cash which was a pain. The ordered two curries a Parthia and a Tikka Masala. Both were very disappointing- the Pathia was not at all spiced and hot and was very bland with no kick and the chicken was over cooked and grisly in places. The Tikka was weak and watery with no real flavour. Don’t know if they have changed cooks or what but would not go again I’m afraid so back to looking around again in Thirsk area as ones in town also poor.
We arrived on a very busy evening with only the manager and 2 waiters serving. We were excited to introduce our friends to our favourite restaurant. Oh dear ! We received a friendly greeting on arrival and ordered drinks. 3 arrived quickly but one was quite forgotten and was requested 3 times! The poppadoms arrived quickly but again 3 main courses came quickly and the fourth one had to be reminded!’ drinks ordered and 20 minutes later we went to the bar and asked where they were. I know they were busy but it was quite like a pantomime and an embarrassment to us but fortunately our friends were sympathetic
Omg where do I begin ? The welcome was wonderful seating and tables immaculate. The food was the best Indian food I have ever tasted in the UK we have been going to india for 17 years and once you have tasted Indian food in the real country nothing matches !! Until I found the Jaipur in busby stoop thirsk ! I had the thali which is little tasters of different food worth trying the meat and prawn comes complete and one of the best I have tasted. My husband had the tandoori sizzler which he loved great value for money
The food here is delicious. The menu is enormous which made it hard to choose but we went with the signature dishes and weren't disappointed. Poppadums are enormous and crispy fresh. Service was excellent. I wanted a glass of white but loathe sav blanc which was the only option so they said I could have a chardonnay or a pino grigio by the glass instead. Perfect! Young man who served us was efficient and great with the banter. If we lived around here (we are visiting from overseas) this would be our local.

On arrival the waiters did not have the booking in the diary and were quite rude about the issue. The service from 2 out of the 3 members of staff we had interactions with was poor bordering on being rude unprofessional. The food was lovely but the portion sizes were small due to it being the promotional banquet night. This restaurant is a “cash only” place which I believe is unacceptable to expect people to carry cash when card payment is accepted at 99.5% of all businesses in the UK. Ever wondered why?
Visited for the second time We were greeted and sat down Ordered drinks The food service was very slow The quality and portions were good I had one issue I ordered fillet steak, and it was definitely anything but fillet as it stated on the menu As I work in the trade, I do know the difference However it was still very nice And we will Visit again
Sorry to say the reviews given about the poor service are right. Our pappadoms were forgotten, our mains were flung down on the table, it was a case of sit, eat and leave. The manager was clearly unhappy and his poor staff looked harassed, food was great but like others we won’t be returning. At this rate he’s going to have no one left to serve.
Very rude staff rushed service even though restaurant was half full at best and food tasteless very disappointing and will not return

ate here on a quiet Monday evening. Food and service was excellent. Had the Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Chilli Chicken Balti.
Fabulous tasty food . Great prices . Loved it . Just the place celebrating my husbands birthday while away.
