Jakobusklause - Reservar una mesa

My wife and I came to Rudesheim on a Viking cruise. We've been disappointed by the food on board so we went in search of a good meal with local ingredients. Rudesheim is full of tourist restaurants and I found it difficult to tell which reviews were trustworthy. We are SO GLAD we chose Jakobusklause! We each had a seasonal special with the famous local white asparagus in traditional German dishes. Both were excellent. Our server was very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English without condescension. We asked her to choose a wine for us and she chose a lovely riesling from Rudesheim. What a great little find this was in Ruedesheim. Stopped in for lunch one day and had the Goulash soup it was terrific. Enjoyed a couple of beers also and enjoyed being out of the cold in a warm and friendly environment. We enjoyed it so much that I came back here for dinner with my parents the following night. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner food and drinks, Staff warm and pleasant given our lack of German language. Great spot and I highly recommend for an authentic time.

Best Schnitzel in Rudescheim! Just stopped while at the Christmas Markets. Recommendation from one of the local vendors. Excellent service and a very quaint and local feel. Exactly what we were looking for!

We were struggling to have a decent meal in Bingen, then arrived here and Wow!! Great decor inside, not very expensive for the quality of food and wine
