Dropped in here on our way through Baddeck and decided to test them by ordering a donair pizza. We are happy to report that the donair pizza basically passed inspection and was a really good pizza, like in the traditional Halifax Donair sense. However, it was the greasiest pizza I have had in a long time. They must use a lot of oil. I've attached photos. Great atmosphere and ambience, and you can sit on the deck on the downtown street and look across to the waterfront. A beautiful location.
I ordered the 16” donair pizza, which featured a thin crust topped with quality cheese, onions, and tomatoes, along with thinly sliced donair meat on a base of donair sauce. Personally, I prefer chunkier pieces of meat, but overall, the pizza was quite tasty. They provided extra chili flakes and Parmesan at the table, which was a nice touch. It was a very good meal at a reasonable price and easily fed three people.
Very friendly staff. Thought it was just a pizza joint like it was years ago when I ate there. Boy was I surprised. Had a beautiful soup and sandwich. My wife had a taco salad. The salsa was the best I have ever tasted. I assume it was not bottled. It couldn't be, it was that good. Very nice place to enjoy lunch a glass of vino.
We had a delightful breakfast at the restaurant in early summer. There were a few adjustments needed for social distancing, but I'm sure those are addressed now. The service was excellent, and the French toast was fantastic! I can't wait to return and try the hot dogs! Reserva una mesa ahora
