The lady (cook/cashier) is pretty rude. I was there a few months ago and waited before posting this because I don't need the drama, but people need to know that customer service is not a term that the main lady at this restaurant is familiar with. She was pretty bold in her behavior and may have been treating patrons this way for some time. PLEASE hire someone less jaded to run the front of house. The food is average (not much depth to the seasoning and the texture of meats are undercooked) compared to other Jamaican restaurants, so there is very little to make someone come back when they are dealing with this type of personality. I walked in here to pick up food for an UBER eats order and I didn't want to leave. Whatever was cooking smelled so good, and the lady behind the counter was very nice.I was tempted to cancel my Uber eats order and sit in to eat... that's how good that food smelled. I see why the person ordered from this place despite living all the way in South Philly. I will definitely be back to try the food here because if it smells this good I know it's gonna taste amazing.
I wish I could give this place a negative rating—it's absolutely terrible! As a Jamaican and a good cook, I found this restaurant to be a huge disappointment. I just moved to Pennsylvania and was looking for a quick meal while unpacking, but I ended up throwing my food straight in the trash. The jerk chicken and plantains were awful! I definitely wouldn't recommend it, but you can make your own choice. It’s just not for me!

The food lacked flavor, and the portion was small even though I ordered a medium. When I requested an extra scoop of oxtail, the server informed me that they'd have to charge me for a large if they provided it. I left without even licking my fingers—definitely not impressed.

Delicious food and excellent customer service! The portions were generous, and I definitely plan on returning. Parking was a bit tricky since it's located at the back, but it was well worth it!

I ordered the $17 oxtail platter, and I was quite disappointed. The portion was very small, consisting of only three oxtails—just three! I expected much more for the price.
