Suggested by our son for dinner with his Tulsa friend during her visit to Los Angeles. Sat outside on a warm summer evening. Loved the feel of the place. Great service, terrific food (we ate family-style, vegetarian). Started with their Brussels Sprouts, which are to die for. Pasta dishes ordered were: Capellini, Mandilli, and Chef's Featured Pasta (some kind of tortellini stuffed with the most wonderful filling). Everything was excellent! Our server (unfortunately, I do not recall her name) was always right there to refill water glasses and my iced tea glass, and the iced tea was tasty. Waitress misunderstood my husbands order, argued with him that he was wrong and then told him the dish he did order was no longer available. So he could accept the dish she brought him that was now cold) or find something else to order from the menu. When he got upset, she left. Good was ample enough that we could all share so it really wasn’t a hardship for us. Just disconcerting. We would expect any upscale restaurant to handle the situation differently with much more grace.

This was our first time at Jame (won’t be our last. All 3 of us had something different and all selections were great. The cocktails were clever and delicious. Carlos was a terrific server! Highly, highly recommend!
Everything was great! I’ll be back for that mandilli pesto pasta over and over until you guys are sick of me. Only thing is damn! That dining room is LOUD. Some noise dampening panels and you’re golden.
