I work in Leesburg, so I was really excited to find a Chinese restaurant offering vegan options right in town. While Good Fortune is my go-to spot, it's a bit far when I need a quick lunch, like today when I realized the cauliflower I brought just didn’t cut it. I've eaten here twice, and both times it was not a pleasant experience. The food simply wasn’t tasty, and I didn’t care for the mock meat at all. The vegetables in the Kung Pao chicken were tough and dry, and the dish with sweet and sour sauce was bland with a somewhat slimy texture. My biggest issue, however, was the lack of flavor. Decided to try them out ordered sweet n sour chicken dinner for myself, and beef n broccoli for the S.O. and added 2 vegetable rolls. My S.O. will never allow me to get food from there again, the beef/broccoli was terrible and we tossed it out. Bland flavor, and the beef was rubbery. Not edible. And then she went to eat the vegetable roll and found a small piece of shrimp. Well she is allergic to shrimp. I do think the speed of service was good, had me out the door in 10 minutes. But cross contamination is a definite nope.

This is a fantastic, family-owned Chinese restaurant with affordable prices and quick, fresh service! I've never experienced an MSG hangover here, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The food isn't overly breaded either. I don't understand that one person who gave a 1-star rating—why would you order traditional Thai dishes at a Chinese-American restaurant and then complain about it? My family has been dining here for at least 10 years, and we've always had a great experience.

If you’re familiar with Chinese cuisine, this place meets your expectations. I had the orange beef and egg drop soup during my visit. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is welcoming.

The General Tso's chicken at James Cafe is outstanding! I don't usually write reviews, but I've ordered it several times, and it has been amazing every single time. I just had to share my experience!
I have never been disappointed with the food here. I try to get something different each time. I have both eaten in and gotten carryout.
