Japanese Mamas Kitchen

I recently visit this place for a quick lunch. I order the lunch special spicy karaage bento. The waitress told me it will be 15 mins. After 30 mins where customers that come after me have been serve the same dishes. I ask the waitress how long my order is going to be? They told me soon and after another 15 mins when I approach her again she told me they sold out my dishes. I have ask them twice during those 45 mins wait. They did not tell me once they run out. At the end I didn't get my lunch and left the place feeling pretty **** off. The waitress couldn't care less whether I get the food or not. Normally I always have a good experience with Japanese restaurant. Definitely not at this plac...

This is the second or third time we have order from this restaurant over the last couple of years. The food is ok, that said we live in Vancouver and are very spoiled when it comes to sushi. We had some tempura, nigiri and yaki soba. The the first and last were good, but the rolls just ok. The rice is very good but the flavours a bit weird. At the end good but not great, no other sushi around.

Drove past this past a couple of times and it is inviting form outside, though I'd try it out one night. Pleasant staff engaging and service was quick,as I ordered a takeaway... Was not as I expected the chicken seemed like it was defrosted and microwaved, which I was not impressed at all, maybe one day will try a different dish but definitely improve:)

This place will not win any interior design awards and it is in a pretty ordinary part of town.However if you want a cheap, good quality Japanese meal for under $20 per person and excellent, fast service then you've found your spot.We enjoyed our favourites - very nice tempura, pancakes and agadashi tofu. I've been here 3 times...each one I got more food than I can rememberGetting a Bento with sashimi and drink for $13 is great, and the food is top qualityI've been waiting for another JFX and this one is just around the corner :)

Loved the friendly service, the meals were excellent and authentic Japanese and made to order, and the interesting décor was comfortable with soft lounges and very relaxing. Will definitely make this a regular visit

I absolutely loved this place and wanted to find out if anyone knew what happened to it? It closed and said it would reopen in June but nothing has happened yet??? I really, really want it to reopen soon!!!

This place runs fantastic lunch specials, I really enjoyed my karaage chicken with a side of miso soup. Lovely kitsch atmosphere and attentive staff. The food is well good and good value for money. Reserva una mesa ahora

Love coming here! Food is so good and the staff are so friendly! Food takes a little long to come out but I never mind when staff are as lovely as they are here. Always brightens up my day!

The food is fresh, taste so good, staffs are also kind, And they have "illy" is famous coffee brand from Italy I always order the meal with that coffee
