To get there from the main Sherbrooke Street entrance, go to the elevators and go down to level C. There's a hidden food court close by, it's there.Very fast and friendly Japanese style service, cash only. Prices are rounded up to the dollar or 50 cents.Good selection food, but in a nutshell it's rice with curry, or some kind of fried meat.Absolutely fantastic value, a large serving of curry, fried chicken cutlet on rice with miso soup was 13$ taxes and tip in. You can add sauces, pickles and ginger to your taste.Maybe not the healthiest option, but budget wise it's great. And I enjoyed the taste!

I was overwhelmed with profound sadness when I discovered Haru Hana has permanently closed my favourite Katsudon place.I was now in search for a tasty Katsudon.Enter Japote!Hidden in the underground food court of a scotiabank building on Floor C in the basement of Centre Mont Royal. It was Cash Only there is an ATM upstairs in the bank.My Katsudon was Delicious will be back for more.Since it is in a food court get it to go and cross the street and relax in the beauty of the McGill Campus looking upon the mountain.

Delicious, budget-friendly, and guaranteed to brighten your day! I ordered the #3 medium, which was just the right portion and incredibly tasty! The two owners were beaming with joy, and their happiness was truly contagious. I enjoyed their variety of sauces and highly suggest adding a croquette on the side. I would definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area—just remember to bring cash!

Food is delicious and cheap.Real japanese people work there.Super nice people. There are always lots of tables open so even loners like me can go there comfortably without suffering from social anxiety ?But maybe not the healthiest stuff to consume.note: you can only pay with cashand the place is kind of hard to find Reserva una mesa ahora

Montreal has a lot of hidden gem spots, but this is my favourite. Simple, cheap, and AUTHENTIC Japanese food. The quality you get for the price you pay is simply unheard of nowadays. A great spot to stop for a quick lunch if you are in the area. Wish it was open in the evening though.

The food is outstanding, especially considering the price. The service is excellent as well. The portion sizes are smaller than what you might find in American restaurants, but they are more in line with typical serving sizes in Japan, which makes perfect sense.

The food was delicious, fresh, and incredibly affordable—I only spent $10! Be sure to bring cash and arrive early, as it tends to get quite busy, and their hours are very limited. Kid-friendly: It's located in a food court.
