We chose Jarosch Bakery because they were local and wanted to support a local business and also because they received rave reviews locally. The samples we received were complimentary and massive which was a breath of fresh air compared to other bakers charging an arm and a leg. We loved our sample and decided to place the order. Unfortunately, our cake was not reminiscent of our sample. The cake seemed drier than we recalled and there was hardly any filling. We along with our guests were bummed out as the flavor was there. Docked another star for the method in which communication had to be done. Everything had to be done via phone call or in person which was incredibly difficult considering...
Jarosch is an amazing bakery with ample parking available. They even have a ticket number system in place for busy times. I recently bought an apple cinnamon coffee cake and freshly sliced cinnamon bread, which was one of the best loaves I've ever tasted. Although it was quite crowded just before Easter, the line moved efficiently, and the owner generously offered free coffee and donuts to those waiting. In January, I also picked up a chocolate raspberry layer cake for my son, and he absolutely loved it. Overall, it's the best bakery in the area!
We have always loved the cakes, coffee cakes, and especially the breads from Jarosch Bakery. However, we bought a cinnamon bread yesterday, and it seems like they forgot to add the cinnamon. I understand that everyone is cutting back, but cutting back on cinnamon in cinnamon bread is just not acceptable. It lacks the cinnamon flavor and appearance it used to have. We are quite disappointed with the bread.
Without a doubt, this is the best bakery in the Chicagoland area. I make the trip from the city to Elk Grove Village just for their amazing treats. They tend to sell out quickly, so I was fortunate to grab one of their open-faced peach pies today. Their cakes, pies, and doughnuts are all outstanding. Plus, the customer service is always excellent. I highly recommend this place!

We ordered my mom's 60th birthday cake from Jarosch and everyone couldn't stop raving about it! It was delicious!! We left a copy of the invitation and the decorator was able to color match it perfectly. So happy and will definitely be back. (The border in front got a little messed up while in transit)
This is about the best bakery I've been to! I live downtown in the Gold Coast I had a meeting near Jarosch one day and have been hooked ever since! The pastries are incredible we always get the fruit danish or the square danish. Donuts are awesome as well!
Jarosch Bakery remains just as delightful today as it was 20 years ago when I first visited. All the baked treats I bought were absolutely delicious! I will definitely make it a point to stop by on my next trip to town.
This is absolutely the best bakery in town! If you're in the mood for something delicious and sweet, there's no better place to go.

I pre-ordered the Black Forest Cake, and it was outstanding! It was incredibly delicious and beautifully crafted.
