"Although it was raining and reasonably dark the setting from what we could see was fairly special. The service was pretty good although it wasn't busy which I think could test them if it was . To the food , and I must very well done , hats off to the chef . Entree to main to dessert a fantastic standard ."

I had heard really good things about Jason's so when my husband took me out for our anniversary dinner he was shocked when I said I wanted to go somewhere close to home and not the city. He wasn't disappointed!We started with the breads and followed by entrees each, I had the seafood entree and my hubbie had Carpaccio Beef. They were both fantastic.Followed then by mains of Duck and Venison. The duck was good, however the part of the skin that was on the the topping went a little soft. My husbands only gripe was that the Venison was a rolled piece and his expectation was a venison steak. He said it was tasty and cooked well but just not what he expected.We then succumbed to the dessert menu....

My partner and I attended a lovely dinner at Jason's just recently and enjoyed the fine food and service provided. The restaurant kindly presented a board of bread and oil and a pot of sorbet My Partner had the steak and really enjoyed it as it was cooked just how he likes it. I had the Duck dish and have to say I felt it was not very generous as I was presented with a leg cut in half with very little meat on it, yes the flavour was very good. Fist impression on the drive up is Beautiful, once inside friendly greeting and then shown to our table, we were seated promptly, I was a little disappointed the table topper was white paper I didn't see that coming, the dining room could definitely use a nicer paint colour and art work reminded me of the 80's not in keeping with the outside, Staff are very tentative don't really want to complain as good service is hard to get but having a conversation was difficult with constant interruptions, food was lovely but a little expensive, would I go again Yes but just for 2 not with others, next time I would probably remove the paper topper. 15 of us from Brisbane, Melbourne and Mt Eliza for lunch to celebrate four of us Queenslanders competing against the Puffing Billy in the Great Train Race. Upon arrival we had the chance to stroll around the beautiful kept gardens before an absolute first class lunch we are still all talking about. The menu was adventurous, wine was A grade and service attentive, playful and always caring for the customer's needs. As hard as we tried we couldn't fault our dining experience. The views, the location, the service and the food, total perfection.Presentation was second to none. Generous portions, extensive menu to suit any palate. The pork belly was cooked perfectly with a crunchy crackle. The turkey tasty and nicely cooked. We shared entrees of delicious calamari, a herb pizza and seared scallops, no complaints. Wine list was reasonably priced. A lovely walk through the garden after lunch topped off a delicious lunch experience.

Went for dinner on a cold, wet, Thursday night at our closest restaurant, and had a meal that matched the reviews put up about Jason's. Only one other couple dining, but it was still a cosy atmosphere, and naturally we had the waitress's undivided attention. Had the $65 degustation menu, and the food was very tasty, beautifully presented, and overall great value. Will happily recommend the place, and happily return to try something else on the menu.

Stunning building with beautiful views. Unfortunately the service was lacking. Roll of eyes with each thing that bothered her plus did coffees around the wrong way. After being told no offer to fix them. I asked for more hot milk but coffee was so cold didn't drink it. Told her and she replied with " oh well" !!! Only bonus not charged for coffee. Very disappointed indeed as it was my birthday and first visit.

The food, the service and the location are all excellent, we can highly recommend Jason's, we have been twice so far and plan to keep going back. We really love the complementary platter with bread, light fluffy butter and the delicious little pots of soup to sip and dip! Dined at Jason's for lunch on a Saturday with a fairly large group. Table service was prompt & polite, the atmosphere relaxed and the food wonderful. It's a great location in a well kept premises, a credit to the proprietors.We indulged in Entree's and mains so covered most of the menu. Each and every dish was enjoyed. Looking forward to coming back in the future.
