(September 17, 2023) This was my first experience with Indonesian cuisine, and overall, it was quite enjoyable. The restaurant seems popular among Indonesians, which is a good sign. The service was attentive, and the owner recommended trying Nasi Bungkus if we visited on a weekend. While Nasi Bungkus was decent, the rice was a bit too wet for my liking. I would highly recommend trying the Cha Kway Teaw and Randang here. The Cha Kway Teaw is actually better than the Chow Fun found in most Cantonese restaurants. The Randang was delicious and pairs perfectly with rice, though I found it a little pricey. I would consider returning here if I decide to explore more Indonesian restaurants in the fu...

I took my friend from Singapore to this restaurant, and unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience. The owner was quite rude and unfriendly, which is not what you expect from someone in the restaurant business. When we inquired about the chili, he was particularly impolite. The nasi bungkus was tasty on our first visit, but it was just average the second time. I would advise against ordering the sate ayam as it wasn't good at all. Next time, we'll choose a different place to dine.

Food is mediocre at best overpriced! I ordered Nasi Goreng Babat (beef tripe) which is a must have for any Indonesian restaurant. It was bland. The beef tripe was old beef tripe that was deep fried very tough. Service was non existent. We had to get our water refilled ourselves. I've had bad Indonesian food before. This one is up there. Will never come back!

On 5-22-22 I was in the area so I decided to eat at this place. When it came time to pay the waiter changed the price on me from $11.95 to $12.95 not right. I didn't want to argue so I paid the bill and left. The total came out to $19.00 and somechange.???? Reserva una mesa ahora

When I think of Java Spice, the first thing that comes to mind is the delicious food. I absolutely adore this place, particularly the soto (chicken soup) and nasi bungkus (rice wrapped in banana leaves with beef rendang). Everything is incredibly flavorful!

I would say this is an authentic Indonesian restaurant. However, the rice in the Nasi Goreng was a bit too wet. Everything else was spot on, especially the Soto Ayam served with coconut.

Java Spice is my favorite place for Indonesian cuisine. The food is of outstanding quality and perfectly seasoned with authentic Indonesian spices. The chicken satay is truly the best!

They have been around for a long time, and survived thru Covid. Food is on the mild side, compared with the Indonesian food I have had before. Reserva una mesa ahora

Be sure to try their weekend special, Nasi Bungkus (rice wrapped in banana leaf). It boasts a spiciness level of 4 out of 5.
