The search for the perfect baker for your wedding day can crack overwhelming and nerves. J Cakes has thrown my expectations of a wedding cake out of the water! These were some of the best cupcakes I've ever tried, let alone at a wedding! My guests always asked, “Who made these cupcakes?” and “This is your wedding cake? It tastes amazing!” My (now) husband and I really enjoyed the cake tasting process. We felt that we had to design our own flavors with so many combinations to give our big day even more personalized touches. J Cakes is now my go-to bakery for future special occasions and all so often “you earn a cupcake” moments.
I think the easiest thing to say is that people ACTUALLY ATE our wedding cake. The cake was delicious, it was not dry or excessively heavy, the freezing was amazing and it was just as we ordered it. During tasting they had a lot of choices, many great pictures for us to choose designs and were able to help us get a cake that meets our needs. I recommend them not only because it was easy to do business with them, but because the quality of their cakes and the presentation were delicious and beautiful!!
Had a cake made for a surprise 30th birthday and wow did JCakes knock it out of the park!! The cake was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious and probably one of the best cakes many of our guests had ever had! We did 1 tier chocolate mouse and 1 tier bride cake, and both were fantastic!! Absolutely worth the 40 minute drive for us!
We have recently opened a second site in New Branford and are frequently passing. We have become big fans of cupcakes, so I have ordered a dozen for the holidays. You were a big hit! All flavors are delicious, freshly made, with high quality ingredients. Very recommended.
