A nice place to go in general, especially now they have started to finally check covid certificates most of the time pre 9pm. Unfortunately after that it is random. But let down desperately by the fact that none of the younger male staff wear masks and zero enforcement of mask wearing in younger patrons is carried out inside. Basically if you’re under 25 it seems that you don’t have to wear a mask when moving about which is enhanced because of the behaviour of staff. Now at the stage where it is becoming a health hazard because of this.
My family and I went to this restaurant for a meal and all four of us ordered the 'gourmet steak'. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The steak was tough and raw in some places, despite us all asking for it to be cooked medium rare. One steak had to be sent back because it was completely raw, while the other three were barely touched. I doubt I will ever order steak from this restaurant again. Overall, the food was only average, and it seems like the low prices result in low-quality ingredients and inexperienced chefs.
Came to Newtownards from Belfast for a meal and as Wetherspoons goes we thought this one was very good. One chicken tikka and a madras was ordered. It was hot, exceptionally tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Although busy, the staff were friendly and helpful. One staff member was having her own lunch nearby and chatted with us happily. We'll certainly be revisiting in the future as for less than £20 you can't really go wrong as a couple. It was very nice and well worth a visit.
We've always found the staff very well trained friendly, the food very good and the variety of drinks available fantastic. If you add excellent value, then it's a no brainer. We often go in on a Tuesday evening which is steak night and we're rarely disappointed. Why I didn't give a five score rating this time is that I think it's time for an interior makeover, the front door can be draftee, and why Witherspoons have their toilets on different floors always mystifies me.

I had some sour ales and requested a different pint, but that one was off as well. The manager confirmed it. I tried one more and it was just okay. The restaurant is dirty and the food is terrible. I would not return. I typically enjoy English ales and frequent many Wetherspoon pubs, but this was the worst one I've been to. The staff were nice, though. Hopefully, when the place is renovated, they will improve.
The food is decent and the drinks are okay. The watered-down coke was noticeable compared to other establishments. However, the staff, especially Nadine, are extremely friendly. Nadine is a delight and a lovely girl. Thank you, Nadine.
Haven't had any take away food for a while because fish batter tasted of curry. Decided tonight to try it again. Big mistake! Fish batter tasted more curry flavoured than before. No more fish from this pub.
Great value. Good food. Friendly staff Family Friendly customers. Prices unbeatable With a place like this there is no excuse for not taking the family out for a meal.

Been in today and yesterday for breakfast. Yesterday the beans were cold. Today both our eggs benedict were cold. The last few brekys which were frys were fine.
Some lovely staff that clearly go above and beyond their pay grade (bar/serving staff) and those bouncers with a God complex.
