I was passing through Colombus and dreamed of visiting this famous place. I was looking forward to enjoying the food and the atmosphere. I ordered Japanese A5 Filet Mignon. I expected to get first-class meat, perfectly cooked by the chef, because it is quite natural to expect from a steak house that they know how to cook steaks. However, what a disappointment it was when I received a burnt steak! It was so black that it was difficult to find it on the plate. The black crust gave off bitterness and interrupted the taste of the meat. I was very disappointed and reported it to the waiter and the manager. Easily one of the best restaurants in the city (if not the best). The atmosphere was wonderful (including the live piano and vocal accompaniment), the service was impeccable (David took care of us, highly recommend great menu knowledge and recommendations), and the food was devine. If you are in the market for one of the best steaks you will ever eat (and paired with an excellent cocktail, mocktail, or glass of wine), look no further than Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse. 10/10 would recommend! Dietary restrictions: One of the first things our wait staff asked us was if we had dietary restrictions. Within the menu it indicated that they are able to accommodate.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, creating a perfect setting for our celebration. Most importantly, the service was outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout our meal. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to return since there isn't a location close to my home, but I would definitely make the trip again to see if my experience was consistent. I have no doubt it would be!
We’ve enjoyed going to Jeff Ruby’s for years. The food is usually top notch. It’s not been quite as good the past few visits. The service is typically better than the average “good/better” restaurant. Overall it’s worth going for a special occasion to treat yourself.

The food was quite good, although I have experienced better wagyu steak and larger portions elsewhere. Nevertheless, the meal was enjoyable. The service was excellent, and I would definitely return. Plus, they offer cigars!
We came for my parents anniversary and it was amazing. The food and service were exceptional and the atmosphere was top notch with the decor and the piano playing in the background.
Food was so good I forgot to take a picture of it but has very interesting sushi, our waiter was welcoming and helpful in his recommendations. 10/10 would return again and again :
If you’re into paying a bunch for food and being in the company of rich scumbags, this is the place for you. I’d rather go to Roosters or Taco Bell with my people.
