Jenkins Quality Barbecue Southside

Jenkins is an old school Jacksonville Northside/ Westside local BBQ icon. Long tradition of great BBQ. The sauce makes it even better. Best mustard base sauce I have ever tasted. I grew up on this sauce and BBQ. The ribs are seasoned , juicy and delicious. Now the chicken can be a hit or miss between being juicy tender or dry but that is a matter of how long the chicken stays on a BBQ pit I guess? I'm not a BBQ pit master. This is just an opinion . It's a very simple straight forward restaurant in either location. No flash. No over the top atmosphere. Just clean basic tables and chairs. With a combination of that great mustard base sauce and seasoned ribs you can't go wrong.
