First time visitor to the Original Jimmy Buff. The originator of Italian Style sandwiches. Ok they say so. I do not know!!! But what I do know is if you want a really good Italian Hot sausage sandwich. Make your way to Jimmy buffs. The hot sausage was really favorable tasty. And you will find yourself wanting some more bread. The bread is soft and firm if you can understand what I am writing. To say you will not be disappointed is an understatement. The place is very clean,warm and welcoming. The counter lady was all smiles and friendly. Bathroom equally as clean. This is easy to get to off the parkway. I've tried jimmy buff in east Hanover over 10 years ago. I didn't really like it because it's a big vat of oil cooking all the hot dogs, potatoes, and veggies. the bread soaks up all the oil and it's a big greasy mess. I tried this location with a work place associate so he can check it off his bucket list. the food was the same as experienced. it just not my type of food anymore. I have to watch my salt and cholesterol : the guy taking the orders. he should try voice acting. if you know you know. CC accepted and bathroom is clean. plenty of street parking. if needed a big shared lot nearby.
It's great. It's Jimmy Buff's, been making Italian hot dogs for how many years? 90 plus!! Why people order anything but the Italian sandwiches is beyond me. A great sandwich, made on great bread, with quality hotdogs and sausage. Plus the potatoes, onions and peppers. Delicious! Wish I lived closer so I could have them more often. Can't wait to be back in the area for another. I recommend the combo, some hotdog, some sausage. A marriage made for a sandwich. Go get one! (or two!
I've been a Jimmy Buff's fan since I was a kid living in Irvington...That shop had the signed photo's of Rocky Marciano and Sunday mornings had the group of senior Italians with their fedoras sitting around their favorite table while the cook sweated over the hot oil serving up mammoth sandwiches that have no peers. The Kenilworth location is upholding the tradition!! Vegetarians and vegans are warned to stay away... ;

Used to go to the West Orange location for Italian hot dogs for my evening job. Returned there recently and the food is still good. Now there's a second location in Kenilworth, which is closer to home with a comfortable sit down space. The service is good: both via online and in person.
If it's not broken don't change it!! They understand the concept and have been making the best Italian cheeseburger and hotdogs for years. Bread is always fresh and soft. Potatoes cooked well. Peppers and onions seasoned well. The guys there are amazing as well.
LOVE jimmy buffs. ive been coming here often for yearsssss and i am never disapointed by the food and the people are always very friendly. they have never ONCE messed up my order at this place dining in and on doordash which has impressed me. love you guys <3
The Italian Italian Combo (Hot Dog Sausage) was AMAZING and the bread they serve it in is so fresh and the potatoes are delicious! My second time ordering and it comes perfect everytime! Definitely recommend

They were out of spicy sausage so I took a pass on that. Got 2 normal dogs and they were good. Not DWD and no snap, but flavor was nice and the buns were super soft. Overall a decent dog when in the area.
This was my first time here and it was really good. The service was quick, and the food was seasoned well big portions!!
