We decided to sit at the bar and were promptly welcomed by Shawna, who was friendly and greeted us with a smile. She provided us with menus and made some drink recommendations. I opted for the Seabiscuit, while my husband chose the Famous Mary. The Famous Mary was quite enjoyable as they prepare their mix in-house, which had a nice kick thanks to the celery salt rim and garnishes of cheese, a blue cheese olive, and pepperoni.

Jimmy's is located in the corner of a plaza with other businesses. There's a small parking lot and because it's in the corner, it was a bit tricky to find. They offer different types of seating and there's sections in the restaurant. Restrooms are up front and are clean! We arrived with no reservations but we got seated right away. On a Friday night, it was pretty busy. Paul was our server he was pleasant, offered his recommendations and everything he recommended was good! He checked up on us a few times which is great! We ordered the dueling dips, fried calamari, braised short rib and the skrewball cake. Out of everything we ordered, I would crave the skrewball cake!!!

On my first visit for brunch, I ordered the chicken and waffles, and it was delicious—plenty of food, too! I also had bottomless mimosas, which were fantastic. On my second visit, I tried the Santa Fe Caesar salad, which was fresh and tasty. Complemented by a margarita, it made for a perfect, satisfying dinner.
I thoroughly enjoyed both experiences, though it is a bit on the pricey side; it's definitely worth it. I can't wait to go back soon! Just a heads up—parking can be a bit tricky. There's one lot in the front and another in the back.
This restaurant is an excellent spot for comfort food. The dishes are well-prepared and tasty, and they're served with a friendly smile. The portion sizes are generous. The burger is mouthwatering, and the fish and chips are equally enjoyable. The onion rings are enormous, fresh, and perfectly battered and fried, adding great flavor to the meal. The cocktails are also delicious. However, there's room for improvement in the service; the staff could be more attentive to customers.
Not sure why this restaurant is famous. Ordered a salad, because as I saw other tables being served, nothing caught my eye or nose. The restaurant is known for French Dip and burger, which two people in my party ordered. Both were underwhelmed. Glad I stuck with the salad, which is tough to get wrong.
We were disappointed that they no longer have seats along the boardwalk. This is our go to place during the month we are in San Diego for great baby back ribs, burgers,great chicken Cobb salad, calamari, etc. during happy hour. Our waitress was very good responsive.

Everything was fantastic! Food was delicious, server was friendly and efficient. Very nice clean place.
Previous review still stands after 4 years. Surprisingly, still poor service but great food.
