While this is not my favorite bakery in CA, it is one of my top favorites, and probably the one I go to the most due to its proximity to one of my favorite noodle houses, Malan Noodle, and because the parking at my actual favorite SoCal bakery is atrocious.They are small so they are often out of things, especially later in the day. I like their daan tat especially when I'm lucky enough to arrive while they still have warm ones fresh out of the oven. I recently purchased a cake for my grandmas birthday a day in advance in hopes that everything would be fresh perfect. I even asked if the cake would be prepared fresh in advanced previously before purchasing the cake. I purchased a Vanilla Chiffon Cake with Strawberries Assorted fruit. The cake was not a chiffon , not a sponge cake consistency whatsoever nor fresh, but a basic white cake (dry no taste) probably the one from the day before i went in.The fruit was tart sour. A very terrible birthday cake for my grandma all around, a very big disappointment embarrassment.
I grew up coming to this bakery practically every week. I love their delicious white bread, snack bags, pork sung buns, hot dog buns, pineapple buns, and cakes! Our family always buys cakes for each member's birthday. We always order the tiramisu or mango mousse without fail. I hope that this location continues to be here forever! You can't go wrong with any of the yummy selections here. Make sure to get here early in the morning to get some of their fresh baked goods! Their white breads are my absolute favorite.

Individual mousses and cakes provide variety and are always a great success for a party.Almond croissants are also delicious. And pudding. And egg custard tarts. Ok ok.. everything is delicious. ?This is a small shop and often very busy, so I get that Deli feeling that you need to know exactly what you want and be quick about it when your turn comes, but it doesn’t make me think any less about all the delicious things they offer.Other locations are a bit more relaxed.
I strongly advise against ordering from this restaurant. I'm trying to get my $10 back because two items I wanted were sold out, and I didn’t receive them through DoorDash. I paid $21 for just one item, and I'm really frustrated. When I called to address this, you told me to talk to DoorDash, but they said those items are still being offered for sale by you.
I appreciate the wide selection of both savory and sweet options available, along with sandwiches and bento boxes for those seeking a more substantial meal. Their cakes are absolutely delicious, and my family has been ordering them for birthdays for many years.
Small but wonderful Bakery. Cakes are the best here. Beautifully decorated and so yummy. Lots of other Asian style bread and pastries. This is the original JJ Bakery location that opened in 1996. Highly recommended over 85 degrees.
