Im giving 1 star cos it doesn't have a 0 star!!! We were looking something else to try in manning for a place to eat since manning don't have a lot of places to eat).. looked up this place... cos it gave 5 stars...we chose to give it a try...Well...we get there and placed the order threw the window..the guy there had a lot of customer service...we had to sit and wait in car..took awhile..they finally got it finished...I couldn't wait to get home to eat...got a BBQ rib plate and 3 piece fried chicken plate.. now I've eaten a lot of BBQ in my life)This ribs were soo tough and had ashes on it..looked burnt tasted terrible to be honest) ...some people said it was falling off the bone ...Not Mine...
This restaurant is a hidden gem in a good way. It's tucked away behind some houses, giving off a cozy vibe as if you're at your neighbor's grandma's house. I tried the sample platter, which was only about $14. The green beans were surprisingly flavorful, but the mac and cheese was a bit strange - it seemed like there was a lot of mustard in it. I also tried SC hash rice for the first time, which is similar to dirty rice but with brisket. The hash wasn't my favorite, but if you enjoy dishes like red beans and rice, you'll probably love it. The ribs were the highlight for me, coated in a spicy mustard sauce and very tender. The portions are huge, the cashier is friendly, and they play 80s sitc...
Last Friday evening my husband I pulled in around 7pm they just closed we had a nice conversation with the owner he's a great guy so open friendly. We just moved to Santee from Upstate NewYork a couple months ago we hadn't ate here yet. We told him we'd be back we were the next day. We ordered the Sample Plate and 6 chicken wings. I must say it was the best barbecue we've had! The ribs were fall off the bone tender with the best barbecue sauce! The pulled pork was perfectly cooked. Great road trip stop for ribs!Delicious ribs in tangy Carolina BBQ. Food was ready quickly, and portions were great for lunch. The building is undergoing renovations, maybe to add an indoor seating area? There is one picnic table in the grass to the side of the building which was great for us to eat at before hitting the road again. Ribs, fries, and pulled pork sandwich were all great.

The place has no indoor dinning. No refills on an a small drink (they called a large). The staff were very plight.I had a Philie cheese steak that had lots of bread and not much meat. I got onion rings; which you could tell were pre-made/frozen from a factory. With a $2 tips is was over $16. Way overpriced.You can tell at once time it was a great place to eat, but not anymore.
The ribs and fried chicken were fantastic, and the baked beans and coleslaw were delicious as well. The staff was very friendly, and the restrooms were very clean. The atmosphere was just right. If you're in the mood for some great food, you can't go wrong here.
I'm so glad I listened to the Google reviews. These are the best ribs I've ever tasted. The combo platter was absolutely delicious, with fresh salad and rice topped with outstanding gravy.
Dang everything here is incredible. Ribs, bbq sandwich, CORN NUGGETS, waffle fries, it’s all amazing. Stopped on our way up 95 and hugely grateful we did. Thanks JK’s folks, you rock.

Very good. Fresh and hot. Order at the window and worth waiting for the barbeque.If visiting again would stop again.
