I stumbled across this place from a Facebook group and was pleasantly surprised. I had the crab cakes with two sides; Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. The crab cakes were not lump but they weren't bad. They were seasoned but a little too much filling for my liking. The sweet potatoes could have been cooked a little longer but they were sweet enough. The Mac and cheese was seasoned and cheesy but oily. I could absolutely taste the sharp cheddar. Over all I did enjoy my meal and will try other dishes to see if I like them a little more.
This is most definitely a hidden gem! OMG, they have a regular customer here and each time I go I will bring more people with me! Love the kids helping. Excellent food, excellent customer service! Please do not try to rush them with your order, as it is cooked freshly when you order. We're talking from scratch not frozen or microwave. Fresh hot pies are a must for dessert! Stuffed fish, mac and cheese, shrimp and grits, and the list goes on! Hats off to the chef????????????
First time ordering from this establishment and was very pleased with my food, catfish and cabbage and Mac and cheese were seasoned well. Mom didn't care to much for the salmon said it was hard to her and didn't have much seasoning, sweet potatoes could have had more juice and been a little softer. Got tuna macaroni salad which was kind of juicy had to much mayonnaise in it would have liked if it was a little firmer. Will be willing to order again from this establishment.
This is my second time ordering from here. The first time I really enjoyed it. This time I had 2 crab cakes, sweet potatoes, and mac n cheese. I DID NOT enjoy it this time. The Sweet potatoes were hard not nearly as sweet as the first time I had them, the mac n cheese tasted old and the crab cakes tasted like there was a lot of cracker filling. Ok I spent like $50 here because I wanted to taste like everything lol. It did take a while but like honestly PACIENC is a virtue people! Nothing good is fast. I'd rather eat something hours for a good meal that tastes homemade than something quick and easy. Like I genuinely felt like I was at someone's family BBQ. The food was amazing! I had the stuffed tilapia with crab meat and mac n cheese, string beans(needs a lil more seasoning), fried rice and sweet potatoes... don't forget the crab eggroll!!! Yall I was hungry this is true, but BABY the food was goodt!!! I have a new place to satisfy that southern cuisine I sometimes have the taste for!! Thank you and the staff was helpful and a Joy!! Last minute Sat night. I would have known to just call instead of going through Door Dash. Not sure if an option. Anyway, the food was amazing!!!!! Def work the wait. The gentleman did check in with us upon arriving, pickup location lil weird. Everything was cooked to temp. Good flavor. My, people. Good well done. Will return.
Long Wait...Trash...Food Is Basic Never Fresh, Clearly Reheated Ordered Once Friend ordered 2nd time. Never Again. Business also isn't in good Standings according to Sdat MD, Reason why my driver probably set outside 40min when the food was suppose to be ready. Open Illegally and Still Can't Cook.
