The appetizer was decent, but the interior lighting design was poor with some tables being too bright and others too dim. The restaurant seemed to be understaffed, but it wasn't the server's fault. I was skeptical of the 4.5 star rating until I read a review mentioning a change in ownership. The price per person ranged from $30 to $50. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 1.

My family used to frequently visit this restaurant when we lived in the Long Grove area. The service was always excellent, the pizza was delicious, and the appetizers were fulfilling and tasty! We ordered the Hand Tossed Cheese Pizza, Mac n' Cheese Bites, and Loaded Broasted Potatoes. The food was comforting and satisfying, and we left feeling full and happy. I would like to express how delightful this restaurant is. It is a hidden gem in a picturesque location. The dishes are fantastic and incredibly fresh, cooked to order. The service is top-notch, reflecting the high quality of the food. All the staff members are excellent, but I must give a special shoutout to Tina. She is absolutely amazing. Despite not living nearby, I make frequent visits. I highly recommend this place!

I booked their bar area for a private family event and we had a fantastic experience! The food was fresh, there was plenty of room, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a space to host a pizza party. Really loved the food here. Veggie pizza had plenty of delicious vegetables and love the thin crust. The hand tossed pizza was so airy and doughy, I can't wait to go back and try the Detroit style. Fries pickles spears were so good and not as salty as other fried pickles I've had. Good deck seating. Friendly service. A little pricey but food is good.

Tonight was such a disappointment. We used to love coming but tonight was a disgrace. The service was awful. Three tables got up and walked out. We ordered pizza and chicken and our pizza was supposed to be served first. After an hour of waiting the chicken came out but pizza still didn't so we cancelled pizza. Food was not what it used to be.

The food, particularly the chicken dinners and pizza, is delicious! This restaurant is a great local spot. However, the service has been consistently poor for years. They always seem to be short-staffed, making it difficult to get seated and waited on in a timely manner. As a result, we will only be getting takeout from now on.

Long wait and lack of service when finally seated. Left after two (2) hour delay. Went to Potbelly which was quick and more satisfying. Never again to Joanie's!!
