this is the only fried chicken joint in cincinnati that can hold a candle on any other fried chicken to the south. I'm not talking about the hitching post, I'm talking about something under the ohio riverder south is that we're fried chicken. colonel sanders can take his mix seasoned and place it somewhere in the ohio at this point and joella partnership deal I ordered the quarter dark meal and had it cooked to order and it was the best fried chicken that I ever eaten pants down. broting was perfect crispy, but not overwhelming, what really sets it from any other fried huh is the sole. will come back, probably today!
Went to joellas chicken tonight and unfortunately I have to give 2 stars. We've tried it a few times now. The first time it was overly greasy, the next time was decent enough to have it again if in the area. This time though... service was great. It was busy and the guys working made sure to keep us posted on how long things were going to take. My husband ordered the quarter leg meal and when we got home the chicken was raw on the inside... I ordered the tenders and again the box was super greasy.... I think we're good on joellas...
Pro tip: The chicken and waffles is highly recommended; well prepared and very fresh.The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, and the inside was clean. The only complaint is that, on every table's napkin holder, there was an advertisement showing that kids eat free all January. When we asked, the employee said it was changed to Tuesdays only. The right thing to do would be to remove the ads, or continue to honor the special as it is very misleading *Be sure to ask for military discount if it applies to you.
Fast service and extreme friendly staff. We ordered two tender plates and it was delicious. The tenders were fresh. The mac and cheese had a great taste. Not too cheesy tasting which is ideal for me. Loved their hot honey! Definitely my fave but I mixed it with their bbq/honey mustard dip, def recommend. Overall, great stop for lunch!
