The food is just delicious. I was lucky to try most of the dishes offered. The lake bass was exceptional, along with the fish soup, was perfect. Of course, they make excellent carvings. The duck, with dumplings and red cabbage, are perfect in the colder weather. Service is first-class and friendly. Very recommended!

We enjoyed a wonderful traditional North German dinner in this charming restaurant. Owners are active and involved, interact with customers during their culinary experience. Unlike many places in this area, owners are fluent in English and very willing to advise on menu choices.

We had dinner in Johanssens on a windy September evening. The overall setup of the restaurant made us feel warm at once. Meat and fish dishes were typically German and all those we had were tasty and very good. Service was efficient and friendly.

We had everything you can eat carvings and taste and the serving size was good. The service was a little too slow, but they did that at our check. The food steak and fish) the people at the other tables looked very good. I'd go back.

Very warm environment friendly staff. Good food good wines beers just doesn't take cards. Long walk to nearest cash machine.
