Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse Des Moines

Camille took great care of us. She was professional and engaging without being intrusive. We were celebrating our anniversary. I didn't tell her but did tell then on the reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary. time there that we've note a special occasion on the reservation that isn't acknowledged at Johnny's. Our food was delicious. The wedge salad was the best wedge I'd ever had. Lasagna noodles a bit overdone, filet and lobster Rockefeller and creme Brule were delicious.

Perfect restaurant to celebrate any occasion and food is generally very good. Great ambiance and friendly staff. We had the Italian trio which was cooked fresh while my wife had the scallops which was equally as good Service wasn’t poor but it also didn’t enhance our experience. He didn’t really stop by to ask about our meal or make any effort to find out the reason we were there (spouse birthday). This was minor and we look forward to visiting again soon.

They couldn’t make me my favorite drink because they had no blender...which was odd because I always order strawberry daqs there. So I couldn’t have that. And they only serve prime rib on Friday and saturdays, which was a bummer I couldn’t have that. And there was something else that was not available on the menu...but I can’t remember. But overall it was fine. Just wished they had prime rib any nite and a little confused on daqs.

The silverware were unnecessarily huge. The food was good but nothing spectacular. The staff was great, constantly checking up on us. The lighting and atmosphere were very comfortable. Not noisy at all. Wasn’t a fan of the music taste though. Nice restaurant but the food is overpriced. Overall our date went well. Reserva una mesa ahora

It looked like a slow night, however it took over an hour before our entrees were received. The only excuse given was due to a banquet at the time. It also took awhile before our entrees order was even taken. We had eaten the appetizer and had a couple drinks before our waitress asked if we were ready.

Appetizer came out and sauce was cold. Waitress didn't check to see how Appetizer was. My steak was over cooked. My wife's soup was cold once again no one came to check. I used to love this place but obviously something has changed and not for the better. Won't be going back

It was for my birthday. Our steaks were cooked wrong, I ended up switching with my spouse. Also I thought as in previous visits that a dessert was complimentary, we paid for. This visit out of all the times we have been there was not the greatest

The food and awesome service at are table made it a very nice and relaxing because of everything going on around us now It was again very nice Thank you Reserva una mesa ahora

Amazing food as usual. Love Johnny's south I would have given stars but our cocktails didn't arrive until after our salads. Highly recommend.
