I recently heard about Johnny's from two separate people, and both raved about it, so I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed!Located in the Chillibowl building, this diner has a 50's flare, with a ton of cool decorations - posters, records, 50's era toys. There are also a number of working vintage pinball machines for 25 cents a game. The food is fantastic! I love a good old burger and fries, and this place does not disappoint. My son ordered the fully loaded Jukebox burger and loved every bite. (Loaded by the way includes a hotdog!) The fries are also terrific! If you are looking for a fine-dining experience, this is not it. It's a little rough around the edges. There is an overw...

We were walking along Wellington Ave....just window shopping, when we came across this restaurant....went in and admired all the 50's memorabilia they had, and decided to have lunch....am I ever glad we did....the food was freshly made and piping hot....in fact, too hot to touch....tired off just warm meals....try here....I also had a cream soda which I haven't had in years...!!! They have a very good menu, hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, onion rings, wraps, sandwiches cold or toasted....lovely ice cream floats, milkshakes and it goes on and on..our waitress was super-friendly which made for a great lunch experience......we are going again...for sure....!!!

Although this little hole-in-the wall has a fun 50-styles décor and some great vintage pin ball machines, the food and service was terrible! I can truly say this was one of the WORST hamburgers I have ever had! With one bite, the bun was getting mushy and falling apart, the bacon was undercooked and the meat pattie tasted like cardboard. I tried to eat it with a knife and fork but finally gave up. This was all having waited 45 minutes to receive my food. After all that, 3 burgers, 1 milkshake and a basket of onion rings (that we didn't even receive) cost an outrageous $52.00!!! Do yourself a favor, don't bother eating here.

We went with the kids and really enjoyed this place. There might be healthier options on the menu, but I suggest indulging here cus it's worth it. Chilli dogs, deep fried pickles, great burgers, fried and onion rings. Cool assortment of sodas, milkshakes just as they should be. It's not fancy, but is' very neat and there is free vintage pinball and lots of memorabilia to check out. On one visit we ordered the 'I want it all' icecream dish and the 4 of us could barely finish it. very cool, 12+ scoops and all the toppings all on one dish, childhood dream come true!

Went today to treat my brother on his birthday. Figured the atmosphere would be fun if nothing else. I actually really liked the food, and prices were good. Really enjoyable overall and definitely will return. We had 2 appies, 2 entrees, milkshakes, and it was under $40. I had a 6" sub and bro had a huge burger. Loved the deep fried pickles and selection of old fashioned sodas. Bright, clean, cool decor and great beebop tunes.

We kept meaning to try this restaurant and finally got our chance today. Too bad we waited so long! Delicious burgers, all fresh ingredients. The burgers were really big and came with a generous portion of fries Went in pretty hungry, and they had to practically roll us out! The milk shake was very thick and tasty. A great family run business i would recommend to anyone wanting to revisit the 50's.

Went with my stepson for lunch. He had the sunset strips and chips and I had the triple grilled cheese on marbled rye! We shared a chocolate milkshake that was so huge both of our glasses were full. No charge for splitting either. My stepson enjoyed some free games on the old pinball machine too. I'm going back for breakfast today with my nieces and nephews for the waffles.

This is modelled after a 50's type diner. The selected decor and furniture suit that time period with the music helping to set the mood. This place has great service and serves up old style milk shakes and has the best grilled cheese sandwich in town.
