Josef's French Pastry Shop

Found my self in the area and thought I would stop in and treat myself to a cupcake or two. I have to say the inside is just beautiful. I felt as if I was back in Paris as I ordered a chocolate and a bacon and cheese croissant to include one of each flavor cupcake: chocolate chocolate, yellow with vanilla icing and a red velvet. The bacon and cheese croissant was not as flaky /buttery as I had anticipated. They have a grand selection of sandwiches and a coffee bar too. All of the items in my order were very good. I would certainly return.

I recently visited Josef Bakery in Grosse Pointe Woods and was quite disappointed with my experience. The tart shells and cannoli were soggy, which was very unappetizing. Additionally, the pastries tasted stale, indicating they were not fresh. The fruit filling in the pastries was extremely sour, making it hard to enjoy. Overall, the quality of the baked goods did not meet my expectations. I hope they can improve their standards in the future.

My wife and I recently dropped in for tea and coffee. My wife follows a gluten-free diet and we told this to the clerk. She was very friendly, and she was able to direct us to a delicious crem brulee that my wife enjoyed. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Our whole visit was superb. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were outstanding. I would highly recommended Josef's.

I had purchased three cannolis because that's all they had. I was really looking forward to enjoy them. I will not be going back, their cannolis were not good at all. I don't think they were freshly made think they've been sitting there a day or two. I'm sorry to say this Reserva una mesa ahora

My daughter’s Sweet 16 cake turned out not only absolutely Beautiful but was also delicious! I cannot thank Josef’s enough for making it exactly the way we wanted! If your in need of a cake for a special occasion I 100% recommend this bakery they will not disappoint!

I bought 2 eclairs and a Napoleon. All of these puff pastry doughs were overcooked and the pastry cream had no flavor. I expect to see little flecks of vanilla bean in my pastry cream and there weren't any. I am very disappointed.

The cherry turnovers are great. But then again, almost everything is delicious. Can't wait for my chocolate/chocolate cake for my birthday. Such a treat
